The 3 weekly classes, namely Arabic, Tajweed and Tafseer have been run by members of the community since 2016. They are conducted based on knowledge sharing by those who have the understanding and experience in teaching the subjects. Apart from the learning and knowledge elements of these activities, they also help to foster close relationships within the community.
Allah says: (43:3) We verily, have made it a Quran in Arabic, that you may be able to understand (its meanings and its admonitions).
May Allah grant us understanding and increase our devotion towards him and also be able to pass this knowledge to others.
Mondays
Proper understanding the text of Al Quran; the meaning while making the duas and making it easier for Quran memorization. The classes utilise the Madinah Arabic Reader by Dr V. Abdur Rahim, currently in Book 2 of the Madinah Arabic Syllabus
Tuesdays
To improve proficiency in reciting Al Quran the way Prophet Muhammad SAW received it in Classical Arabic from Allah through Jibril AS. Learning of Tajweed, observing the correct rules and avoiding mistakes when reciting Al Quran.
Saturdays
After Fajr
Ilmu Sharaf provides basic knowledge of understanding the word morphology transforming from one form to another the text of the Arabic language.
Tafseer Al Muneer (Arabic) – Practical lessons in Arabic that apply the learning of weekday Arabic classes; i.e. reading and translating the tafseer. It also gives the understanding in the Quran of its narrations and elaborations of each ayat (mufradat) and Asbaab al Nuzul (the circumstances of revelation) of the verses or soorah.

The usrah is an informal programme although it is a regular, consistent and continuous function. Literally, it means a family. The usrah is a group of Muslim individuals getting together with faith in Islam, working and helping out one another, working together towards a better understanding and practice of Islam.

Our main objective is to create a support group for Muslimah’s in learning about Islam, sharing various skills and life experiences for the betterment of our community. It also an effective way for the Muslimah to strengthen their ukhuwwah and sharing their thoughts together.

The main objective of the girls' usrah is to support our youngsters in gaining their confidence and self-development to become a proud Muslimah. Our motto is “Empowered Muslimah of Resilience and Confidence”. It is also a good place for them to get to know each other and support each other emotionally.
